The renovation of the outdoor swimming pool in Allstedt aimed to strengthen intergenerational connections. The children's pool and the multipurpose pool were renovated in two construction phases. A new stainless steel pool was created within the old concrete structure of the summer pool, originally built in 1927 on a pile foundation. The facility was further expanded with redesigned outdoor areas, including a volleyball court and a fitness trail. These additions provide new spaces for recreational activities and exercise. In the future, the new facilities will be used primarily by children and youth groups during summer camps and events. The swimming pool is also utilized for club sports, school sports, and support for people with disabilities. The renovation has transformed the pool into a central meeting point for various generations. It promotes the development of sports and community engagement in the region.
